Morphology
Stroma: 
Single to multiple stromata arising from adult ant (Formicidae,Hymenoptera). Stromata brown, cylindrical, 8-70 x 0.2-0.5 mm, widening toward fertile apex. Fertile area light to deep orange, 5-6 x 0.7-1 mm, rarely with an aperithecial tip.
Perithecia: 
Perithecia immersed, ordinal, crowded, dark yellow, ovoid to flask shaped, 170-250 x 110-140 um.
Asci: 
Asci cylindrical, 8 spored, 140-200 x 6-12 um.
Ascospores: 
Filiform, not breaking into partspores, 110-150 x 1.5-3 um, with rounded apex and tapering at the base.
