Morphology
Stroma: 

Stromata simple or binate, arising from Coleopteran larvae, clavate but partially attenuated on both ends, 90-115 mm in height, 0.5-0.8 mm in width, aperithecial stroma tip, surface glabrous, yellowish.

 
Perithecia: 

Superficial perithecia, scattered or aggregated along the clava, ovoid, 400-425 x 300 um, rosy-yellow or almost white.

Asci: 

Asci 100-110 x 4-5 um, apical cap 3-4 um in length.

Ascospores: 

Ascospores disarticulating into partspores.  Partspores 4-6 x 1 um.
