Morphology
Stroma: 

Stromata slightly clavate, 10 mm in height, with a short sterile base, dark red-brown with a lavender pruinose covering, arising from adult cockroach.  Stipe cylindrical. 0.5 mm in diameter.  Fertile area with rounded apex, 1 mm in diameter. 

 
Perithecia: 

 Perithecia immersed, conoid, 0.2 x 0.15 mm.

Asci: 

 Asci cylindrical to clavate, lacking a prominent apical cap, with or without tapering pedicel, 100-130 x 8-12 um.

Ascospores: 

 Ascospores not forming partspores, elongate, fusoid, 50-80 x 3-4 um, hyaline, multiseptate.

Ecology
Host or Substrate: 

On adult cockroach.
