Morphology
Stroma: 
Ascocarps subcylindric to narrowly clavate, somewhat narrowing below, small; 1.5 - 2.5 mm. long, 0.1 - 0.2 mm thick below, up to 0.3 mm thick above, light brown
Perithecia: 
Perithecia few, 1-4, scattered, superficial, free, narrowly ovoid, large, 960-1200 x 300-360 ?m, more or less tomentose over thelower portion
Asci: 
Asci narrowly cylindric, 600-780 x 6-7 ?m, wall thin, thickened at the apices
Ascospores: 
Ascospores filiform nearly as long as the asci, 1-1.5 ?m thick, multiseptate, with cells 6-10 ?m long, tardily breaking into one-celled segments.
